Granny Afghan's
are fun to make, there are so many different variations. This particular
stitch was fun to do, and the squares went very fast.
The stitch I chose is a front post
treble crochet, in the middle of each granny square on the 3rd. and 5th.

These colors are so vibrant and the cream color seems to make the rest
of the colors stand out. I found the directions
too.

This lovely
afghan that my friend Wendle is laying on, is actually a queen size bedspread
I crocheted in 1986, 1987 and 1988.

It is a combination of shell stitches. It actually went fast, but I
had such limited time to work on it then. I still use it and when I wash
it in the wash machine with a little oxygen 8 it comes out looking brand
new every time. It dries well in the dryer on regular heat.

This is my favorite afghan that my Mother made. It has rich earthy
colors in it and it is a granny square all in one. It is nice and heavy,
just the way I like them. Here are the colors she used. Again it is in
her own hand writing. Square are multi, brown orange brown edging
orange and yellow centers varigated around the square then solid brown
and then orange. the color use to crochet them together was white. Then
double orange and brown around the edge to finish. Hope it helps.

Her is another Granny Square
Afghan in blues. The center of each
one of the squares is a different variation of blue, yellow and burgundy.

This afghan is big enough to cover a
double size bed. Each square has been trimmed in a midnight blue and
then edged in white and again in royal blue here are the colors that she
used. Amethyst and Burgundy for centers. on opposites. A-Variegated
/purple/blue. B-Navy 4skanes. C Burgundy, E&F cornflower centers I
think it is written in her hand writing, wow. and F Blue Jewel.

Believe it or not this is a picture of 2
afghans side by side. They are the same pattern, just done in different
colors. This too is a tight stitch and that makes it a warm afghan.
