Nothing to do today? Try one of these, or both of them. Picture fame doilies take very little time to make, but are so cute, you will want to put all your favorite 3-3 1/2 inch photo's in them. Wonderful Christmas gifts!

The Directions and in process pictures of Wreath are below.

Using a number 8 /1.50mm hook, Christmas green #10 thread approx- 15 yrds. along with 5mm Darice Craft Designer beads and 1/4"-6mm craft gold ribbon. Follow the directions below.

wr2.JPG (84987 bytes)  In this project a (Cluster) is- Ch 3, YO, insert hook in the third chain from the hook, YO and pull up a loop, then YO and draw through 2 loops on your hook, YO, insert hook in the same ch, YO and pull up a loop, YO and draw through 2 loops on your hook, YO and draw through all 3 loops on your hook.

1. Rnd.- Work 24 Cluster: being careful not to twist  the little Clusters, then join them together with a slip st to the base of the first Cluster to form a ring.

2. Rnd.- (Working on the right side of your project.): Ch 1, sc in the same st, (ch 3, sc in the base of the next Cluster) work this all the way around, to join ch 1, hdc in the first sc to form the last ch-3 space.

Note: loop a short piece of thread around any stitch to mark rnd 2 as the right side of your project.

3. Rnd.- Ch 1, sc in the same sp, (ch 4, sc in the next ch 3 sp) then add a 5 mm darice craft bead, (I chose Xmas red, you can use the color you want.) by putting the bead on the end of you crochet hook and pulling the thread through the bead and then chaining 4 and sc, in the next ch 3 sp. Then, do the next 2, ch 4 sps without any bead, then the next with a bead, all around  then ch 1, dc in the first sc to form the last ch 4 sp. You should have 24 ch 4 spaces. (you should end up with 8 beads in your project.)

Note; you don't have to put beads in the project, I did because I thought it looked more like a Xmas wreath that way.

4. Rnd.- Ch 1, (sc, ch 2, then 3 dc in the same space and in each ch 4 sp, all the way around;  join with a slip st to the first sc, and finish off.

st2.JPG (71581 bytes) After you finish off your project, use a fabric stiffener full strength, making sure you wipe off any excess from your beads so they will be shiny. Then pin and stretch your wreath on a pinning board. Let it dry completely.

When your wreath is completely dry, cut your craft ribbon about 2 feet in length, giving enough length so you will not have to try to pull the ribbon anymore then must be. Thread one end through the 3rd Rnd, starting in front of one of the beads and up and through the next hole so you can see the beads after each thread of ribbon.

This doily is called Victorian Lace. Here I have shown it in stages. I made it with the Ecru and added the gold edging for a nice holiday twist.

These are candle rounds like the ones on the projects page, only that one I made for a bigger candle. The directions are also on that page. These candle rounds are small enough that they take very little time to create. You can use any holder that sets on a flat surface, here I used a flat candle holder and one that is more coned shaped. I used # 10 thread, white and trimmed it with silver thread, #10.

Next I will make the candle rounds with # 30 thread to see how much smaller they will be.

Here is a really nice project that I have been working on for a few days. It is a work that I have a lot of pictures of, so I dedicated an entire page to it. I have the instructions to go with it so you can print them off.
